Red Bull / F1 cost cap

A £1.864m FIA-calculated 2021 overspend and the sanctions agreed in 2022.

What the record says

Red Bull Racing accepted an inaccurate-reporting breach and a 1.6% minor overspend. The FIA imposed a $7m penalty and restricted aerodynamic-testing coefficient. The FIA also calculated that correct treatment of a tax credit would have left a 0.37% overspend.

Read this carefully. Team accepted procedural and minor overspend breaches. FIA expressly found no evidence of bad faith, dishonesty, fraud or wilful concealment.
